November 24, a seminar on international youth cooperation took place at Vinnytsia Center of European Information. During the event students of Vinnytsia Oblast had a chance to find out more about European programs that provide opportunities of international cooperation and education for youth from European countries, including Ukraine.
The following programs and projects were presented to the participants:
- European Commission Program “Youth in Action”, within whose scope the young people from Ukraine, in cooperation with partners from other countries, can participate in youth exchanges and international volunteer activity;
- Erasmus Mundus Program — an international program of cooperation and mobility in the area of higher education;
- Teraz Wrocław Project – a non-commercial project, created per initiative of the mayor’s office of the city of Wroclaw (Poland) and Wroclaw higher education institutions; the project is aimed at involvement of future students and graduates from Eastern European countries, who wish to get higher education in Wroclaw.
Anna Rug and Katarzyna Kaczynska, Polish volunteers of the European Volunteer Service of the “Youth in Action” Program, were involved in the presentation. They told the audience about education in Poland and also about their volunteer work in Vinnytsia.
The participants of the seminar received information materials about educational programs from the Representative Office of the European Commission in Ukraine and the Teraz Wrocław Project, and they familiarized themselves with the Ukrainian-language web site оf the Youth in Action Program and got answers to their questions.
The event took place within the framework of the European Youth Week, under the information support of the Representative Office of the European Commission in Ukraine and the Teraz Wrocław Project.

The Center of European Information in the city of Vinnytsia operates on the basis of the Vinnytsia Oblast Universal Scientific Library named after K.A. Timiryazev, within the framework of a project of NGO “Vinnytsia Regional Center of Information “Kreatyv”, under the financial support of the International Renaissance Foundation. The Center of European Information provides access to information resources to anyone who needs them and also conducts educational-information events, focused on popularization of knowledge on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.
