is to support Ukraine’s European integration as a means of implementing effective pro-European reforms on democratization, human rights, good governance, and the rule of law

International expert dialogues and advocacy

Program Initiative supports the development of a dialogue between Ukrainian experts on foreign policy and domestic reforms and expert circles in Brussels, in major EU countries (Germany, France, Poland, etc.) and in the USA. Also the Program Initiative supports projects aimed at increasing awareness of international audience about the situation in the occupied Crimea, development of the conflict in the Donbass and the progress of the Minsk process, and the analysis of existing and advocacy of prospective international instruments to curb Russian aggression, to de-occupy the Crimea and to secure a peace settlement in Ukraine. Moreover, the Program Initiative supports projects that promote visa-free regime between the EU and Ukraine, the completion of the Association Agreement ratification and the increasing of EU support’s effectiveness in the implementation of reforms in Ukraine.

Civil synergy - the development of pro-European public platforms

The project is funded by the European Union and aimed at enhancing public participation in the implementation of Euro-integration reforms in Ukraine by developing capacity and efficiency of the two social networking organizations - Ukrainian Side of the EU-Ukraine Civil Society Platform and Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.

Environmental Initiative


Environmental Policy and Advocacy Initiative for Ukraine (EPAIU) is aiming at the civil society organizations development that act in the environmental field – institutionally capable, transparently governed, accountable and publicly recognized, and help improve the quality and inclusiveness of environmental policy making and implementation by means of strengthening inputs from civil society into designing, advocating, implementing and monitoring environmental policies and practices at all levels, and raising public awareness of, and demand for a problem-relevant, more inclusive, rights-based and conflict-sensitive approach to environmental policy and decision-making. The EPAIU has being implemented with a support of Sweden.

Support of think tanks


It seeks to contribute to Ukraine’s transformation into a successful, inclusive and accountable European democracy by creating conditions for independent public policy institutions to grow organizationally, strengthening the voice of independent think tanks in the policy process, making their output relevant for key stakeholder groups in the Ukrainian society, and enabling them to make a stronger impact on policy-making. The theory of change behind theTTDI is to improve the quality and practice of public policy-making in Ukraine by enhancing the role, institutional and policy capacity, credibility, visibility and collaborations of Ukrainian think tanks in the policy process. The outcome objective is improved quality and practice of public policy making in Ukraine that involves civil society participation.

EU4USociety project


The project is based on building a sustainable democratic policy and culture of public participation. These are the priorities that have always been the most important for both the Foundation and the European Union in Ukraine.
