The Fund’s strategic priorities are focused on supporting key reforms and developing democratic institutions. Our programmes set out long-term priorities for strengthening an open society in Ukraine.

Civic resilience

Purpose

The program aims at strengthening organizational and advocacy competences of organisations of war veterans, internally displaced people and bereaved families, supporting development of better policies and inclusion mechanisms, and creating conditions for civic dialogue, understanding and reintegration

Social Capital

Purpose

We build and strengthen communities that are the backbone of an open society, create prerequisites for public dialogue and cohesion based on democratic values

Human Rights and Justice

Purpose

Contribute to holding Russia accountable for war crimes, continuing justice reforms in Ukraine, and protecting the fundamental freedoms of Ukrainians

Democracy and Good Governance

Purpose

We help preserve stable democracy in Ukraine and make Ukrainian governance transparent and accountable

Europe and the World

Purpose

The mission of the program is to support the European integration of Ukraine as a means to introduce effective pro-European reforms in the areas of democratization, human rights, good governance and the rule of law based on the best global practices, as well as to work on increasing aid

Just Transition

Purpose

To strengthen public participation in just transition processes in Ukraine’s coal-mining regions. Just transition is an approach that has long been in use in Europe, but has only recently begun to develop actively in Ukraine. It helps prepare coal-mining communities and towns with a single-industry economy for the structural changes associated with the phase-out of fossil fuels, so that people are not forced to leave in search of work and communities do not lose their future. Purpose

The Resilience Lab is a support program for local civil society organizations that helps them become stronger, more influential and more sustainable. It combines training, mentoring, experience exchange and institutional support to give organizations the tools to develop and work with communities. The goal of the program is to strengthen local change leaders and create effective solutions for community recovery and cohesion.

Purpose

Promoting the inclusive, accountable, ecological and intelligent recovery of Ukraine as a country guided by European values and principles. The project is implemented by the Fund together with the European Union.
