European Programme of the International Renaissance Foundation announces new calls for proposals
European Programme of the International Renaissance Foundation announces new calls for proposals on expert support of Ukraine’s European integration, development of the civil society component of “Eastern Partnership” initiative, open lectures of leading European experts in Ukraine, celebration of the Europe Day, European opportunities for Ukrainians, Ukraine’s European identity and cooperation between Ukrainian and Western European think tanks.
The call “Civic expert support of Ukraine’s European integration” aims at providing high-quality civil society expertise in the topical issues of Ukraine’s European integration. The proposals are sought that will envisage expert assistance and advocacy on specific topical (sectoral) issues of Ukraine – EU relations at the highest branches of government and opposition.
The call “Development of the civil society component of “Eastern Partnership” initiative”, announced jointly with the programme “East-East: Partnership Beyond Borders”, targets at better involvement of civil society organisations to the “Eastern Partnership” initiative, consolidation of society’s efforts to promote reforms in line with European standards, and promotion of European integration across Eastern Europe. The proposals are sought that will envisage joint activities (exchange of good practices in public advocacy and reform monitoring, joint actions for better mutual awareness and networking with European platforms, etc.).
The call “Public lectures of European experts in Ukraine” aims to stimulate public debate on topical issues of European integration and modernisation of Ukraine through public lectures of guest European experts. Topics of public lectures must cover issues important for the modernisation and European integration of Ukraine, particularly through representation of other countries’ experience.
The call “Celebrating the Europe Day in Ukraine” will cover civic celebration of the Europe Day in the cities of Ukraine. The proposals are sought that will envisage activities dedicated to the Europe Day in Ukraine.
The call “European opportunities for Ukrainians” aims at increasing awareness about the opportunities available for citizens and organisations of Ukraine to participate in European educational, scientific, youth, cultural and audio-visual programmes. The proposals are sought that will envisage Ukraine-wide as well as regional information campaigns.
The call “European identity of Ukraine” aims at increasing awareness of historical and cultural affiliation of Ukraine, its regions and cities, to Europe. The proposals are sought that will envisage research, publication of informational materials, film production and distribution, design and presentation of excursion tours, holding events to increase awareness of the historical, cultural and humanitarian ties of Ukraine, its individual regions and cities, with Europe.
The call “Development of cooperation between Ukrainian and Western European think tanks” aims to establish links/ cooperation between think tanks and/or non-governmental organisations of Ukraine and Western Europe, for better awareness of Western European experts about the Ukrainian expert opinion and for promoting European good practices, standards and experience in Ukraine. The proposals are sought that will envisage cooperation between think-tanks and/or NGOs of Ukraine and Western Europe.
