Conference “From Resilience to Recovery: the Critical Role for Ukrainian Civil Society”

The International Renaissance Foundation with the support of the European Union and in close cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, ENGAGE/USAID, ISAR Ednannia, East Europe Foundation, EUACI, National Endowment for Democracy, National Democratic Institute, Embassy of Sweden to Ukraine, IREX UNITY and the German Marshall Fund of the USA are pleased to invite you to participate in a Conference “From Resilience to Recovery: the Critical Role for Ukrainian Civil Society?” on September 29-30, 2022 in Kyiv and Lviv, and with a possibility to participate online. 

The event will bring together Ukrainian national and local CSOs, public intellectuals and sector professionals that propose visions and solutions, volunteers, urbanists, independent media, businesses, social innovators, government and local self-governance bodies, donors and international organizations to discuss the role of Ukraine`s civil society in recovery of the country.

In panel discussions that will seek to address, among other topics:

  • Synchronizing approaches and processes and paving the way to inclusive and supported reconstruction and recovery;
  • Situation analysis and scenarios for continued war and early recovery at the same time: what do we know about people’s expectations of living in the war and beyond the war?
  • How do we build and maintain social cohesion and enable social recovery?
  • What architecture of Transparency and Accountability of the recovery process?
  • How Ukraine’s recovery links to the integration to the EU?
  • How to make recovery work: innovative, just, green and people-centered?ЗображенняWhat smart recovery solutions do communities, businesses and other stakeholders bring to the process?

Unfortunately, due to safety and epidemiological restrictions, we will not be able to accept offline all willing.

The conference will also include an interactive session “Civil Society Navigator: Steps to the end of the war and beyond”, which will be held by @ISAR Ednannya on September 30 in Lviv, live.
