The Roma Education Fund is implementing a law and humanitarian scholarship program in Ukraine since 2004. The program is administered and co-funded by the International Renaissance Foundation and the “Memory, Responsibility, Future” Foundation.

The main objective of the scholarship program is to contribute to the formation of a critical mass among Roma graduates who are proud of their identity, who academically and socially skilled, who have the knowledge that enables them to become professionals in their fields, and who closely linked with the Roma communities, support their further development and inclusion in society.

The REF scholarship program represents a unique opportunity for the Roma to receive support for higher education, development of personal and professional qualities, and in the long run – to have an opportunity for worthy job. The special emphasis of the program is on the active attraction of scholars to work in their communities. By doing this graduates help to develop Roma communities and solve problems faced by Roma in Ukraine.

The event will take place within the framework of the annual conference “Education and Civic Activism: Towards a Professional Career” for scholars and graduates of the program “Jurisprudence and Humanities” of the Roma Education Fund.
