We all are deeply saddened as a result of the tragic death of President Kaczynski and his wife Maria and a number of outstanding church leaders, intellectuals and the party that were with them.
Together with the majority of people in Ukraine we realize an unprecedented role of President Lech Kaczynski in insistent building of truly brother relations between Ukraine and Poland, his strong championing Ukraine’s European choice within EU. We are also aware of his role as the defender of national democracy as a principal ground for overcoming the Soviet past not only for Poland but also for Ukraine.
