Veterans who are ready to participate in public life and want to influence decision-making can undergo free leadership training in the United Kingdom. This special program is being initiated by the CHESNO Movement in partnership with one of the UK’s leading educational institutions, the University of Warwick, and with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
Veterans are invited to participate in the training if they:
- – are ready to share their own experiences, develop leadership skills, and participate in shaping veteran policy in Ukraine, as well as gain international experience in this area;
- – plan to apply the knowledge and skills they acquire in Ukrainian politics and public life;
- – have a sufficient command of English to study and discuss various topics;
- – have a valid passport and the ability to travel abroad.
The main topics of the training will be empathetic and responsible leadership, change management in conflict situations, coaching and mentoring, active and successful participation in community life, and others. There will also be lectures by professors from the University of Warwick and Warwick Business School, meetings with British academics, representatives of the public sector and government agencies, visits to organizations working with veterans, networking with local leaders, experts, and organizations, as well as communication with Ukrainian diplomats in London.
The training will take place on September 8–12, 2025. Those wishing to participate in the program must fill out the application form at the link. The deadline for applications is July 28.
We remind you that veterans are invited to participate in the “Hug for Heroes” rehabilitation and training camp in Sweden. Defenders will be able to relax by the sea, get to know a new country, recover, and make friends. The entire program is completely free of charge.
