Digital educational centres in three villages of the Velykodymerska community – Tarasivka, Hohole and Rudnia – received an additional batch of equipment for children. The microscopes, telescopes, Lego sets, books and creative packages were delivered by representatives of the Re:Osvita public union on 28 November 2024.
The opening of the spaces was made possible thanks to the joint contribution of the International Renaissance Foundation, Re:Osvita, and the community leadership.
‘This is the second delivery of equipment to these centres by our NGO. During the first one, we provided furniture, computers, tablets, drones for training flights, board games and a batch of books. After a few months of operation, the prisoners told us what exactly the children and teachers lacked. Based on this, we have compiled a list of additional equipment,’ said Olena Zaplotynska, executive director of the Re:Education NGO.
The centres have been operating for several months and are open to everyone. They operate on the basis of the Gogol and Tarasivka lyceums and the Rudnyanska gymnasium. The opening hours of the spaces are available at the premises of the centres.
‘It is very important to support children in this disturbing time, to give them positive emotions, to see happy eyes and smiling faces. One of the most interesting novelties of the centre is a modern electron microscope and a telescope. Our young researchers are delighted,’ said Alyona Savchenko, tutor of the centre, which operates on the basis of Tarasivsky Lyceum.
We remind you that the opening of the spaces, as well as the development of an educational development strategy for the Velyka Dymera community, took place within the framework of the project ‘Comprehensive Solutions for the Restoration of the Velyka Dymera Community’ with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
