SOCIAL COHESION SURVEY – FOCUS ON UKRAINIAN COMMUNITIES IN WAR CONTEXT

On September 6, 2024, the Ipsos research team presented a report on social cohesion with a focus on Ukrainian communities in the context of war, commissioned by the International Renaissance Foundation’s Civil Resilience Program.

Its goal is to identify key aspects of social relations, social activity, socio-political challenges, and prioritization of needs at the national level and at the level of the focus communities, which included 51 territorial communities from 14 regions of Ukraine. The study was conducted based on the quantitative method and methodology for measuring social cohesion developed by Ipsos and used in different countries.

“This study was needed to understand the tensions and challenges that may arise in communities, and vice versa – to see what unites us, helps us work together and is the driver that unites society as a whole today,” says Victoria Stokratiuk, manager of the Civic Resilience Program.
