Thirty-five participants from 25 publishing houses participated in Promotion seminar conducted by Book Marketing Research (BMR, Poland) and held at International Renaissance Foundation, Kyiv, on June 15-16, 2006.
More than seventy publishers applied for the Promotion seminar announced for June 2006 in Kyiv. To have a reasonable number of participants we had to ask publishers to send one participant from one organization.
Finally thirty-five participants from 25 publishing houses from Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv and Kyiv participated in Promotion seminar conducted by Book Marketing Research (BMR, Poland) and held at International Renaissance Foundation, Kyiv, on June 15-16, 2006.
9 organisations received consultations on June 15-17, 2006 as well as participants of “100 thousands books” distribution project.
All except one organisation already participated in Marketing in Publishing and Distributions seminars conducted by BMR (however sometimes sending different participants to different seminars).
Evaluation survey
At the end of the seminar questionnaires were handed out to the participants asking their opinion on the quality of the seminar and their training needs and preferences.
Seminar was highly successful according to all the indicators (time, place, tempo, organization, lecturer, theme and usefulness of the seminar).
100% of participants were satisfied with the time, place, organisation, lecturer and theme of the seminar. 100% of participants found seminar useful for them and would like to visit other seminars and training of the Ukrainian Book Trade Project. The participants specified the following topics (ranked according to the need they indicated):
