George Soros, Founder of the International Renaissance Foundation and the Open Society Foundations, had a phone conversation with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
According to the President’s Press Office, the President expressed gratitude to George Soros for his support of Ukraine and its democratic development. Particularly, he evaluated highly the work of the International Renaissance Foundation, which had initiated the establishment of the Strategic Advisory Groups to promote reforms in Ukraine.
Petro Poroshenko and George Soros also discussed the introduction of an international financial mechanism to enhance Ukraine’s investment attractiveness, reduce financial risks, and improve economic activity.
