National exit poll to be conducted during parliamentary elections

The sample will be representative of Ukraine and its four regions (West, Center, East, South)

On October 28, the day of the Verkhovna Rada elections, the National Exit Poll 2012 Consortium, which includes the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives FoundationKyiv International Institute of Sociology and Razumkov Center, will conduct the National Exit Poll 2012. The initiative is funded by the International Renaissance Foundation, Matra Program of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in KyivNational Endowment for Democracy (USA)Pact Inc.UNITER and the European Union. A Supervisory Board comprised of NGOs leaders, leading Ukrainian journalists, domestic and foreign experts will provide project oversight.

The exit poll will poll voters at polling stations nationwide (except special polling stations). The sample will be representative of Ukraine and its four regions (West, Center, East, South).

Number of polling stations – 300.

Sample size – 16,500 voters (depending on turnout).

There will be 2-3 interviewers at each polling station. A total of 700 interviewers will undergo special training. 

Information will be posted in Ukrainian and English on dif-exitpoll.org.uadif.org.uachesno.org and disseminated via e-mail and social networks.
