President of Ukraine has awarded the Order "For Merit" of the III Degree to Oleksandr Sushko, Chairman of the Board of the International Renaissance Foundation (IRF), Research Director of the Institute of Euro-Atlantic Cooperation; Iryna Sushko, Executive Director of NGO "Europe without Barriers"; Aliona Getmanchuk, Director of the Institute of World Policy, for their significant personal contribution to the implementation of the European aspirations of Ukraine, the introduction of the visa-free regime with the European Union, strengthening international standing of Ukraine, and many years of fruitful work and distinguished professionalism.

IRF is proud with this well-deserved award, which confirms the significant professionalism of civic activists that guide the Foundation’s activity and work jointly on implementing its strategic goals.
Oleksandr Sushko has served as the Chairman of the IRF Board since 2011. The Board’s strategic vision has enabled the Foundation to timely respond to domestic and international challenges of Ukraine’s policy and to the civil society. Oleksandr’s leadership in research has brought the Institute of Euro-Atlantic Cooperation to the cohort of key think tanks that shape Ukraine’s public policy in the field of international relations.
Aliona Getmanchuk, Director of the Institute of World Policy, and Iryna Sushko, Executive Director of “Europe without barriers” have successfully led organizations that are among IRF’s long-standing partners, and have contributed greatly to shaping the public position and domestic support in Ukraine for the visa liberalisation, and advocacy at the EU institutions that eventually enabled the visa-free movement for Ukrainians within the EU.
