On February 4, the international public marks the World Cancer Day. The World Health Organization and the International Union Against Cancer unite their efforts to fight this disease and its global consequences.
Cancer is the main cause of death in the entire world. According to estimates of the World Health Organization, 84 million people will die of cancer during the period of 2005-2015.
In 2010, the World Cancer Day will be marked under a special slogan “Cancer can be prevented too”.

- Every year 12 million people in the world are diagnosed with cancer and 7.8 million among them will die of this disease.
