As part of the Roma Studies program at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, a presentation was held on January 19 of paintings by Ukrainian-born Roma artist Katarzyna Pollok (course “Contribution of Roma of Ukraine to World Culture”). The Roma Studies program is coordinated by the Humanitarian Collegium Scientific Society with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation’s Roma of Ukraine Program.
Katarzyna Pollok is known in the art world for her sketches, paintings and collages. She was born in Kyiv in 1960, lived in Poland, and settled in Germany in the 1980s. She has had numerous exhibitions in Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, India and Sweden.
