III Capacity Development Forum

On December 3-4, 2014, the Olympiysky Sports Complex in Kyiv will host the Third Capacity Development Forum. The topic this year is “Culture of Peace: How NGOs Can Develop their Capacity for Dialogue and Leadership of Change to Build and Strengthen a Culture of Peace in Ukraine.”

On December 3-4, 2014, the Olympiysky Sports Complex in Kyiv will host the Third Capacity Development Forum. The topic this year is “Culture of Peace: How NGOs Can Develop their Capacity for Dialogue and Leadership of Change to Build and Strengthen a Culture of Peace in Ukraine.”

The capacity development forum is the largest national platform for the learning and exchange of experience on capacity development for NGOs. Participants, leading journalists, politicians and public opinion leaders will discuss the role of NGOs in building a culture of peace in Ukraine.

Representatives of charitable and non-governmental organizations from all regions of Ukraine, state and local government, businesses and donor organizations have been invited to the Forum – everyone interested in the NGO sector in Ukraine becoming stronger, more professional and influential.

The two-day Forum will consist of panel discussions, master classes and roundtables on civil society values, organizational development, adapting to conflict, information war and advocacy strategies. New platforms will be launched for communication and debate: Ukrainian Cafe, Living History, and Laboratory of Practical Work. Movies on human rights from the Docudays film festival will be shown throughout the Forum.

The Forum is being organized by the Ukrainian NGO Ednannia with the help of numerous donors and partners, including: USAID, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), UNDP in Ukraine, Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, Netherlands Embassy in Ukraine, Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and the International Renaissance Foundation.
