Military personnel and veterans now have a new opportunity to transition their experience into a civilian career. The “Vectors” management course will help them unlock their leadership potential and find new professional directions after their service. Applications will be accepted until April 20.
The course is organized by the Projector Foundation in partnership with AZOV, with support from the International Renaissance Foundation.
Who Can Participate
The “Vectors” course was created for:
- military personnel transitioning to civilian life or rear-echelon service;
- veterans.
What the training offers
The program will help:
- adapt military experience to civilian conditions;
- develop management and leadership skills;
- determine a future career path—in business, the public sector, civic engagement, or miltech.
Course Syllabus
The course will last 10 weeks. Instruction will take place online and will combine lectures and webinars with experts in management and seasoned professionals in leadership roles—ranging from the public sector and civil society organizations to business and miltech. Participants will also receive psychological support and career counseling.
The program covers both hard and soft skills for leaders: management and planning, leadership and team collaboration, the specifics of working in various sectors, as well as practical tools for veterans to present themselves effectively when job hunting.
“Managers with military experience are indispensable in civilian life. They know how to work under conditions of immense uncertainty, constantly changing circumstances, and incredibly dynamic systems. They know how to work with any team and in any conditions. The integration of veterans into the civilian sector is not just about supporting people who have returned from war. It is a major factor in the country’s development,” shares Daryna Smolnikova, head of the Support Service for the 12th Special Forces Brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine
Course lecturers include: Daryna “Rina” Smolnikova (AZOV.Support), Nataliia Kryvda, Hlib Stryzhko (Starlight Media), Mykhailo Onufer (Aurora), Dmytro “Orest” Kozatskyi, Ihor Reva (Think Ukraine), Maria Nazarova, Oleksandr Batalov, and others.
The course coordinator, Yaroslav Golovchenko, is the head of the fundraising department for the 12th Special Forces Brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Prior to his service, he held management positions in the business sector. He began his service in 2023, contributing to the development of civil-military partnerships and the support of the Azov unit following the battles in Mariupol. He later transitioned to managing the brigade’s fundraising department.
