He holds a degree in law and has over 20 years’ experience working in the field of human rights and justice. Before joining the Foundation, he was the founder and director of the Sevastopol Human Rights Group and a board member of Amnesty International Ukraine.
He joined the Foundation’s team in 2003 as a legal programmes manager, eventually taking charge of this area of the Foundation’s work as director of the ‘Human Rights and Justice’ programme.
He is a member of the working group on the reintegration of the occupied territories within the Commission on Legal Reform under the President of Ukraine, a member of the Expert Council at the Office of the President of Ukraine in Crimea and Sevastopol, and a member of the International Council of Experts at the Office of the Prosecutor General on the investigation of crimes committed in the context of armed conflict.
His areas of interest include human rights, criminal justice and the administration of justice.
