Yevhen Bystrytsky says no one in Ukraine is launching projects "like the scenario in the North Africa" per George Soros's instruction

Without any exception, all funds that the founder of the International Renaissance Foundation (IRF) George Soros voluntarily allocates for facilitation of development of open and democratic society, as well as for helping those categories of the country’s children and citizens who have especially suffered from the global financial crisis, are being provided and spent in Ukraine only on the basis of decisions or recommendations of Ukrainian experts – independent experts-members of the IRF Executive Board and Program Boards of the Foundation. The Renaissance Foundation acts as a national entity. This means that in Ukraine no one is preparing and no one has an opportunity to prepare, per Mr. Soros’s instruction, any “group of young guys” and also no one is launching “various projects that are” “like the scenario in the North Africa”. There are no such instructions or projects and their existence is not possible.
Instead of developing productive dialog between the public authorities and numerous non-governmental organizations – the dialog that was significantly disrupted on the part of the public authorities, especially during the last year, – the political force, led by the faction leader, is being directed by Oleksandr Yefremov in the opposite direction, i.e., against public activity and that is being done under the slogans on non-existing threat of destabilization of the society. Instead of relying on activity of non-governmental organizations – on the social capital of the civil society – the responsible politician makes irresponsible statements.
The International Renaissance Foundation as a national institution acts in the utmost transparent and accountable manner. Reporting on all the grants, without any exception, that have been provided (including all the support that is currently being provided) to NGOs and other institutions as well as citizens is available in open access on the website of the Foundation and in its annual reports. It is evident that “the information on that Soros has allocated certain funds”, which is referenced by the politician, must be proved and publicized after he has made this statement.
Statement of the leader of the Party of Regions faction in the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Yefremov
The leader of the Party of Regions faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Head of Luhansk Oblast Organization of the party Oleksandr Yefremov says he has information on that an outside ‘investor’ has allocated funds in order to prepare in Ukraine some people who could carry out projects “like the scenario in the North Africa”.
He stated this on April 13 during a press conference on a television channel “LOT”, while responding to a question on whether the Party of Regions would be able to hinder use of new ‘orange’ technologies in Ukraine (the question was asked in relation to the events in the North Africa).
“Today, the world is provided with powerful information resources and one can ‘disperse’ any information only with the help of the Internet. I even have information that also Soros has allocated certain funds in order to prepare in our country, in Ukraine a certain group of young guys who could – like in the scenario in the North Africa – launch any projects that are existent. There is such a thing and it is being prepared”, said Oleksandr Yefremov.
“If these are deliberate actions in order to provoke instability in certain countries and such things are being done deliberately by other countries and this is a policy for the near future, then we enter in a bad period of time, during which we will live”, noted Oleksandr Yefremov.
