IRF Editor Human Rights and Justice

During the two days representatives of the European Information Centers in Ukraine worked on key PR skills. They were learning to deliver information to different target audiences, form a key message and write text materials, announcements, notes, press announcements and press releases.

The participants of the training had an opportunity to become familiar with examples of successful PR and communication experience of businesses during a meeting with representatives of Nemiroff Company.

Within the framework of the event, a training on administering the Portal of the European Information Centers Network in Ukraine was held at premises of Vinnytsia Oblast Universal Scientific Library named after K.A. Timiryazev. The portal will be launched soon. From now on, representatives of every European Information Center will be able to immediately place announcements and news on their own web site, using their acquired skills. The portal will also provide visitors with an opportunity to follow announcements of the European Information Centers and enjoy a more active participation in events, carried out by the Centers.

Trainers’ opinions, proposals and practical experience facilitated enhancement of professional level of the participants of the training and would become an important step in establishing a positive dialog between the European Information Centers and the public.

According to Daryna Nakonechna, Project Coordinator of the European Program, “the training on public relations is a continuation of activity of the European Program of the International Renaissance Foundation, focused on development of the European Information Centers Network. Along with other events that were already conducted for the European Information Centers – a training on fundraising, a training on working with youth – this training is important in terms of raising the quality level of services, provided by the European Information Centers in the area of informing the population of Ukraine about the issues of European integration.”

In addition to practical mechanisms and public relations methods, representatives of the European Information Centers received image products with a logo of the European Information Centers Network in Ukraine. They will distribute these products during their own events.
