First stage of the contest “Stop corruption: public action in Lviv region”

Being aware of the risks and dangers of corruption for the civil society and the state, the International Renaissance Foundation together with the Lviv Regional State Administration announced the contest “Stop corruption: public action in the Lviv region”.

Being aware of the risks and dangers of corruption for the civil society and the state, the International Renaissance Foundation together with the Lviv Regional State Administration announced the contest “Stop corruption: public action in the Lviv region”. The contest was aimed at promoting joint anti-corruption initiatives of the public and the authorities in the Lviv region that will have a systemic effect to reduce and overcome the corruption in the region.

37 civil society organizations took part in the first stage of the contest by submitting concepts of their project proposals to the expert council. As a result of the work of the expert council of the contest, 12 concepts were allowed to the second stage of the contest; they were submitted by the following organizations:

  • Ukrainian Galician Assembly
  • Society “Yuriy Drogobych”
  • Civil Society Group “Mediacontrol”
  • Lviv Group
  • Civil Society Group “Committee to promote the fight against economic crime and corruption”
  • Committee of Entrepreneurs of Lviv region
  • Institute of Social Initiatives
  • Laboratory of Ideas
  • Woodworking and Furniture Production Cluster
  • Information and Analytical Center “Logos”
  • Institute of Mass Information

The winners of the first stage should prepare complete project proposals in the form (the form can be downloaded here) and submit them electronically to the e-mail address dashchakivska@irf.ua by 17:00 October 12, 2015.

The winners who will receive the opportunity to implement their ideas will be announced by the contest commission before October 31, 2015.
