The new guide titled Basic Handbook on Business Internationalisation and Entry to European Union Markets explains step-by-step the elaboration of company’s exporting strategy, the actions involved in seizing the new market opportunities stemming, among others, from the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. It will be especially useful for the Ukrainian SMEs.

Introducing the book to Ukrainian audience, the EU Ambassador to Ukraine Jan Tombinski noted: “(Ukrainian) business complying with the EU rules will become successful on European market and also will be better prepared to compete on global scale. Those who start their own adaptation to the new realities earlier, will later champion (Ukrainian) exports to the EU …”.

The book guides the readers to find answers on key (potential) exporters’ questions like:

  • what are the primary steps to enter the European and international markets?
  • how to search for and evaluate trade intermediaries?
  • what are the cultural differences in doing business with the European partners?
  • where one should look for marketing and regulatory information about the EU markets?
  • what EU databases can be used in course of doing business and exporting to the EU?
  • where to find money for financing exports?
  • which payment terms should be proposed to foreign partners?

and many other issues.
