Election violations in Ukraine to be mapped

IRF Editor International Renaissance Foudation

Alliance Maidan and the Vsesvit Center have launched the Maidan-Monitoring website (http://maidanua.org/vybory2012/), which will serve as a repository of documented violations during the 2012 parliamentary elections in Ukraine. The project is supported by the International Renaissance Foundation.

The online resource allows for real-time monitoring of election law violations in a particular region of Ukraine. Any concerned citizen who has recorded a violation can post information on the site. Materials can be posted only if there is documented evidence (photos, video, documents).

The violation reports will be reviewed by lawyers who will provide a legal assessment and, if necessary, send inquiries and appeals to relevant authorities.

The project does not collaborate with any political group.
