Corruption schemes breaking down along with 1991 Open Data Incubator

On February 9, the first nonprofit incubator 1991 Open Data Incubator’s team presented five IT services, which could destroy the old corruption schemes in public sector. These services work with tons of open public data to identify and correct deficiencies in the state system making Ukrainian life better.

On February 9, the first nonprofit incubator 1991 Open Data Incubator’s team presented five IT services, which could destroy the old corruption schemes in public sector. These services work with tons of open public data to identify and correct deficiencies in the state system making Ukrainian life better.

The International Renaissance Foundation is one of the 1991 Open Data Incubator’s partners and once helped to create legislation that made the opening of public data possible. Today, the Foundation supports the IT services’ creation that of the benefit to society use a huge array of published data.

What are these five IT services and whom will they work for?

7 Red Lines is an automatic service monitoring rail transport of cargo and passengers which, in particular, prevents “gray cars” scheme.

E-Kvytok, a service that guarantees the passenger’s train ticket and even on credit if it is necessary, is aimed at improving the quality of passenger transportation by rail.

A Smart country project creates a service to control the quality of state institutions’ customer service. The product pilot version has been already run by Ukrposhta, which has got 11,600 branches. With the service, top managers will receive online feedback about the quality of services from Ukrposhta users throughout Ukraine.

8 KOLO is a service that identifies public figures of corruption risks, analyzing public data on their income and expenses, and dubious profit schemes.

Bi Bot is a service that works with state expenses. The service will search for and analyze information on financial and economic relations in public sector and will be useful in case of judicial investigations.
