Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group and partner organizations summarize previously collected information, collect the necessary data by telephone, hotline (HL) and other ways. The convicts will be provided with legal advice and, in some cases (not less than 8, in total in two stages – 20), legal procedures will be initiated in their interests, including possibly in the European Court. In parallel, the project participants will participate in the drafting of a draft law on the status of convicts who are in the ORDLO, together with the Ministry of Justice and the profile committee of the Verkhovna Rada. The results of monitoring and legal assistance will be summarized in the report, which will be published in Ukrainian and English. The report will contain recommendations on how to improve the situation. The results of the study will be discussed at the round table at the Ombudsman’s Office with the participation of interested authorities and a press conference presented to English-speaking stakeholders, including HDIM in Warsaw in September and numerous publications and at least 4 TV shows.
