A public monitoring of the activity of the new President of Ukraine is initiated

On the day of inauguration of the new President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, a public monitoring of his activity is starting and it will last during the first 100 days of his tenure. The monitoring is being carried out by the Public Information and Methodological Center “Vsesvit” with support of the International Renaissance Foundation* and under cooperation with the All-Ukrainian NGO Alliance “Maydan”.

The subject of the monitoring is correspondence of the practical activity of the newly elected head of the state to his election promises.

Still today, an official communication about the start of such public control is to be sent to Viktor Yanukovych.

Information about the course and results of the monitoring will be immediately placed on the web site “Maydаn” and will also be disseminated by networks of human rights and public organizations.

* The activity will be carried out within the framework of the project “Election Tender -2010: Awareness of Choice, Transparency of Participants, Responsibility of the Winner” under the support of the IRF.
